Flax for Lazy and Smart

Flax is used in different branches of industry. In Ukraine it is grown mostly on southern territories and exported abroad. But unfortunately there is a big gap in flax industry.
Specifically the problem lies in the poor organization on the state level in this sphere. Besides, the experts say that the main difficulty is in the wrong application of flax production technologies and the use of bad quality seeds. Currently mostly small and medium-sized enterprises are engaged in flax industry.
Flax is said to be an agricultural crop for lazy and smart people. The reason is in small expenses and little effort in its production. It is actively exported abroad. Flax is bought by 27 countries including EU, Egypt, Turkey and China. The main buyers are Belgium, Poland, Lithuania, Germany and Italy.
But the experts say that customs duty slows down the process of flax export greatly. They are sure that Ukraine will be able to widen its export opportunities after the customs duties abolishment. But still it remains one of the leaders on flax market.
