The magazine "Agromarket" (№7 of July 2017) published an article "Non-lossmaking niche." It runs about the systemic problems of flax seed industry and submits the attitude of the Public Union "Flax and Hemp Development Association of Ukraine" (FHDAU) to the ways of overcoming them.

In particular, CEO of Enlightening production and commercial firm "SIAIVO" Ltd", Chairman of FHDAU Board of Directors Mykola Shkurko reports about the standpoint of the union that charging 10% export duty on flax seed makes it uncompetitive in the global market. He appeals to agricultural producers, processors, exporters to join efforts in chain collaboration by creating clusters, cooperatives, etc. and lobby the interests of the industry at the legislative level.
