The basic value of flax lies in its wide application. Flax is used as a raw material for edible and technical oil production and also for cattle feeding.
Being an indispensable product for health and beauty, flax is also a commodity which opens wide horizons to farmers.
Due to its phytosanitary properties flax appears a good precedent for a majority of agricultural commodities. Besides, it has high resistance to draught, lodging and cast of the seeds. One should also note that due to moderate investments required per acre, flax production is available for small farming companies.
Also, taking into consideration that the profitability of flax can reach 100%, this commodity has a margin of safety in unfavorable weather conditions.
